Electrasoft Software for Fax

One of the well-known companies offering fax to email software is electrasoft, they are the makers of 32bitFax, 32bit Internet Fax, FaxMail for Windows, Faxamattic and FaxMail Network for Windows. As you can see that’s a great array of programs that are well… similar.

I haven’t tried all of these programs, although you are free to do it because they offer a free trial of all of them, but I’ve tried their 32bit Fax software and well, I’ve found it to be a simple application that lets you send and receive faxes easily in just a matter of minutes.

Their description of the program goes like this:

“You will be receiving fax and sending fax in a few minutes from now with this full featured fax program. Single Computer and Modem; or Network with Multiple Modems. Options include: Send faxes by fax modem, send faxes by email, send fax over the Internet, and the ability to forward all incoming fax to an email address. Send fax via your Internet connection using our built in fax API. If your fax recipient has an email address, this fax software program will fax email it to them by attaching the fax to an email and do an email fax to them.”

But there’s a downside for the functionalities it brings – the bad user interface. If you’ve visited Electrasoft’s web site, when you’ll pretty much know you can’t expect top user interface and that is exactly the case.

When I’ve tried this program with other people they always mention how it looks outdated and inferior to other fax applications that have a better user interface. For many clients this little problem designed –so to speak – means a lot; and I am one of them.
